Crowterre Equestrian, formerly known as Legacy Equestrian Center, is under new management and has great plans for the future!

Hi, I'm Mallory and I have an immeasurable passion for horses! It has been my lifelong dream to create an environment where horses and their people can come together harmoniously; that is my goal with Crowterre. Over the next few years we will be making positive changes and upgrades to our facility and programs.

Crowterre, "The Land of the Crow", holds deep meaning for our barn culture. Crows symbolize transformation, self-reflection, and loyalty; all aspects that make up that strong, harmonious relationship we all desire with our equine teammates. We must be trusting in each other, forgiving, and adaptive to work towards our combined goals and partnership. It is an honor to have these amazing, powerful animals in our lives, and that partnership is the foundation of our barn.

I truly believe that community is paramount; you will feel that with our welcoming lounge, friendly staff, and amazing boarders. Our loving, supportive community is the core of the barn and that will be felt throughout all aspects of the farm. We enjoy weekly group trail rides, barn parties, fire and wine nights, and social nights off the farm. No matter your discipline, or age, Crowterre's community will welcome you.

I adore all the horses in my barn, enjoy positive relationships with boarders, and always view this role with honor. I cherish the faith you have in me to take care of your precious babies.

I was fortunate enough to be born into a horse loving family and was raised with our gorgeous four legged friends. I have spent my entire life riding, from the hunter jumper ring, to polo, and eventing. I enjoy training young horses and creating a strong bond between rider and horse. My teaching mentality encourages partnership before all else, and I tend to use my background in positive and sports psychology to help my riders feel confident and connected in the saddle. Riding is not about the destination, but truly about the journey and lifelong relationship with your horse.

I enjoy competing and growing as much as possible as a rider to show up for my horses as my best self. I am so fortunate to have these amazing animals in my life, and I live and breathe that thankfulness every single day.

Moose

Mighty Monsoon

Moose is my main eventing competition horse. He is an OTTB, and a super successful one at that! Moose came into his second career as an eventing horse, also with great success! He is the best of boys and only wants to please! He absolutely loves cross country and galloping through the fields. He is an exceptional teammate and so much fun!

Gusto

Spicy Chicken Nugget

Gus is spicy and fancy, but also has the most loving heart! Gusto is an OTTB (trained but never raced), that I found on Craigslist in an old lady's front yard! He had zero training and was skin and bones when I got him! We are training hard and working our way up the dressage levels, with BIG ambitions! He is very fun and spirited!! Spicy Chicken Nugget trains full time with Julio Mendoza, with high hopes for our competition future! Gus is incredibly talented, and very strong, as he has now beat cancer twice! I couldn't be more grateful for my heart horse :)

Finnick

Deep Space Conspiracy

Finn is the best of baby horses, and really just is a big dog. Just now turning four and well over 18hh, he is exploring his future in the eventing world, show jumping, and dressage. He is his momma's dog and loves a good snuggle and snooze! He might just have his momma wrapped around his big ole baby hoof!

EllaCora "Coraline"

Mistress of The Dark

Cora is an absolutely talented, correct, challenging, Sport Friesian youngster with nothing but potential and an amazing career in front of her. She is sweet, sassy, and the absolute perfect mix of sugar and spice. Not only am I so incredibly lucky and thankful to be her momma, but I am so honored to be her dressage dancing partner. My first time riding Cora was magical, and the magic just keeps going! We are working hard on our show career, with a bright future ahead of us as she matures. We were absolutely made for each other! Cora also trains with Julio Mendoza, alongside her brother, Spicy Chicken Nugget!

Jolene "JoJo"

She'll Take Your Man

Jolene just got added to the Crowterre team and is currently in training. She's a young five and oh so spirited, yet cute. JoJo is a fun, forward ride and we are so excited for her future. She is showing promise in dressage and show jumping.

Coconut

Put The Lime In The Coconut

Coconut went from working cow pony, to full on dressage DIVA!! Meet my daughter's mini pony, Coconut! He is so much fun, and an absolute favorite of the barn! Coconut gets out and about and attends many shows. He enjoys teaching littles the joy that horses can bring (but mini size). He may be tiny, but boy does he have a personality!
